Spring Fun Game

The SpringBirdies Fun Game is an annual doubles event by the Greensboro Badminton Club. It brings members together for a fun day of badminton, laughter, and friendship. Players are paired randomly to encourage mixing across skill levels, creating balanced teams and fun matchups. This event focuses on enjoying the game and meeting fellow members, and celebrating the fresh start that spring brings.

12:50 PM - Welcome and warm up (Open Courts)

1:00-4:00 PM - Group stage Matches (All 4 Courts)

4:00-4:30 PM - Semi finals (2 Courts)

4:30-5:00 PM - Final and 3rd place (2 Courts)

4:45 PM - GBC Social Begins (Big Room)

5:00 PM - Medals (Gym)

6:30 PM - Clean Premises and Leave

This is a friendly doubles tournament where you will partner with another participant.
We will pair beginner/Recreational player with Intermediate/Advance player.

There are 32 spots available.
We will divide all 16 pairs into 4 groups of 4 pairs.
First round of matches will be round robin.
Guarantee 3 matches per pairs, if all spots are filled.

Members: $20 per player

Non-Members: $25 per player

Be considerate to your fellow club member that reserve their time for this event.
Also for your potential partner, who is wanting to play with you.

Gym will open at 1 PM, you will have about 30 minutes to warm-up, and we will proceed to the drawing of the pairs.
The first matches will start right after.
We try to have all the matches done as soon as possible so it will leave some time to have a play session afterwards.
